We readily celebrate the accomplishments of those we admire, applauding them for having the courage and persistence to achieve their passions, purpose and pursuits.
We see their glory but we do not know the full story. We do not know their private thoughts of doubt, uncertainty and frustration. We were not there when they were moments away from surrendering after fear left them battered and bruised.
We only see this side of their victory, forgetting that they too had a beginning, or struggled with misfortune, missteps or wavering faith. Let us not be discouraged as we walk through our valley moments. It is all part of the journey.
